It’s extremely helpful when a customer comes with an idea of what they want already in their heads. While that idea may not be finalized, it gives a starting point to build off of. Nothing is more overwhelming than being given hundreds of options and not even knowing what you like in the first place. Whether it’s a certain style, a color, budget, or a brand of cabinets – any of those points narrow down the selection which makes choosing a final product simpler. With Houzz and Pinterest free for all consumers, putting together a board of your very own ideas is really easy and gives us a better idea of what you are looking for. You can even invite us to collaborate with you so whenever you add or remove something, we will be up to date!

Having an idea board is a great start and will get you moving in the right direction. Each and every kitchen is so unique to those who will be spending the most time there. We all lead such different lives and our kitchens need to tailor to our needs and wants. Before the designer begins laying out the space is a great time to mention any specialty cabinets or spaces you’d like to include in your kitchen. This could be anything from roll out trays in the base cabinets to a wine rack or coffee bar. Knowing all of these details ahead of time makes it easier to configure the cabinets and incorporate all of things you are really looking for in your final kitchen.
