Social Kitchens| Malden MA | Derry NH | Halco Showroom
In our last blog post we discussed the rise in home technology and social kitchens. What exactly makes a kitchen social? As the desire to entertain and mingle with friends and family increases, so does the need for an easily maneuverable space.
Social kitchens normally follow an “open” concept floor plan, as in, the kitchen leads directly into surrounding rooms without being blocked off by walls. This allows for easy socialization while having eyes on as much of the house as possible.
Islands create a great center point in the kitchen while hosting a get-together. Whether used as the buffet counter or a place for friends to gather and chat, the island is a helpful and decorative tool.
As far as technology goes, innovative ideas are constantly on the rise. Device charging countertops, Keurig dispensing refrigerators, and voice command ranges. Just a few of the trends seen at this years Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.
